The Board of Governors (referred to here after as the Board of Directors) is composed of nine directors. It has full power and authority over the affairs of the organization, except as otherwise specified in the bylaws. The officers of the Board of Directors sit on the Executive Committee, which is responsible for the day to day running of the organization. Members of the board are elected to a four-year term of office. The last election was in June, 2017.

Throughout the year, the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee hold internal meetings to plan activities, organize content for the website, gathering information to present to the greater membership body, and deal with the day to day running of the organization.
Synchronous meetings may happen online with various conferencing tools like Skype, but asynchronous messages can be shared through this site’s Board of Governor’s Discussion Area.
